Prepping the Shipment for our 2015 Mission

Dr. Beeve’s granddaughter is pictured above putting together 100 coloring book and crayons bags for the children who visit the clinic and for the pediatric ward.

The boxes are packed and ready for our 2015 Mission to Fiji. This year the Beeve Foundation eye clinic will run from August 18 through August 26 at the Nadi Public Hospital in Nadi, Fiji.

We expect this year to be very busy. The Ministry of Health has been referring patients to the clinic and the Lautoka Hospital has been prescreening patients to qualify for care. Dr. Jerry and Dorothy have been advised that there is a list of 200+ patients that will be waiting for surgery and medical care when they Beeve Foundation clinic opens. The list will continue to grow.

This year’s medical team has been increased from last year to accommodate more procedures and surgery. There will be 3 Ophthalmologist surgeons, Dr. Ervin Fang, Dr. Ray Pangilinan and Dr. Mario Meallet, one Anesthesiologist, Dr. Anis Yusuf, 5 registered nurses and 2 ophthalmic techs. Dr. Jerry Beeve will continue as the Medical Director for the clinic.

This year, we will be shipping 80 boxes to Fiji for the clinic with medical supplies, equipment, and eye glasses for the wonderful people of Fiji.

Thank you all for your generous support so that hundreds of Fijians will get their eyesight improved and in many cases, back.
